This decision is part of a continued shift toward a more accommodative monetary policy, as <strong>inflation is now approaching the 2% medium-term target<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfaf<strong> Inflation under control, but uncertain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\" style=\"font-size:15px\">The latest projections from the Eurosystem confirm a <strong>headline inflation average of 2.0% in 2025<\/strong>, 1.6% in 2026, and 2.0% in 2027. These figures are slightly revised downward compared to the March forecasts, mainly due to <strong>lower energy prices<\/strong> and a <strong>stronger euro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Underlying inflation (excluding energy and food) is expected to remain stable: <strong>2.4% in 2025<\/strong>, then <strong>1.9% in 2026 and 2027<\/strong>. This indicates a gradual stabilization, despite a still high pace of wage growth, which is now moderating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcca<strong> Weak growth but supported by investments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Real GDP growth is estimated at <strong>0.9% in 2025<\/strong>, <strong>1.1% in 2026<\/strong>, and <strong>1.3% in 2027<\/strong>. While trade tensions are weighing on exports and private investment, <strong>public spending on defense and infrastructure<\/strong> is expected to support activity. In addition, <strong>rising real incomes and a robust labor market<\/strong> are strengthening the resilience of household consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alternative scenarios will be published on the ECB website to assess the impact of an escalation or, on the contrary, an easing of trade tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc9<strong> Lower rates from June 11<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\" style=\"font-size:15px\">The <strong>new key rates<\/strong>, effective from <strong>June 11, 2025<\/strong>, will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deposit facility rate: 2.00%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rate on main refinancing operations: 2.15%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Marginal lending rate: 2.40%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udee1\ufe0f<strong> A flexible, adaptive strategy<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The Governing Council remains <strong>committed to bringing inflation sustainably back to its 2% objective<\/strong>.
